I'm looking to buy tires and rims for my 69 Barracuda. Can guys send me a pic of their 16" tire/rim setup or 17" tire/rim setup? I'm trying to decide on the look I'd like. I have a pic of an 18" tire/rim setup and think I might want to see a little more rubber on the side walls.
Thanks

'68 Dart, rims are steelies from '06ish Dodge Charger. Got the set of 4 rims for $60 with no tires. Only have them on the front and are 17" tall and tires are 225/45R17
I have my Dart a little lower than it should be in the front but no clearance issues

I like the look. Thanks for sharing.
Not a 67-69 but a 71', this may give you a close perspective of how a 45 series tire looks tucked up inside the wheel well. Fronts are 215/45-17 & rear are 235/45-17.

Like you, I like a little more sidewall, so my next set will likely be a 55 series tire.

Don't forget that the "series" of the tire is actually the aspect ratio and is dependent on the width, so a 215 is going to have less sidewall than a 275 and have a serious impact on how it looks. Wouldn't just depend on aspect ratio to determine what you think looks good.

To say it differently, a 245/45R17 and a 275/40R17 have about the same sidewall height and overall height/diameter, even though one has a smaller aspect ratio.

Just something to think about.

Really nice look! I like how they fill the wheel well.
And thanks DionR regarding ratio/aspect numbers. I have been reading up on some tire info to get a better idea of what I want.
