.....for anybody that may be interested...
I created a page on Facebook....don't know if this will work but...
Doug Cranns Pictures
Time, and internet connection permitted I am planing on starting a web site as well.
Keep in mind I am not a professional photographer, just a hobbyist so some of the images are not all that great...From DTP Racewars. Normally this event is held at some abandoned air strip in Royal City (?) but from what I understand the land owners insurance company said no more. Was talking to one of the folks that attends their events, said there was a pretty horrific crash last year. Racer walked away, car was destroyed. Load of imports with turbos...don't understand dumping a ton of $$ in a turbo setup only to run 13's....but that is just me I suppose. This event was not sanctioned by the NHRA so safety rules were very lax...

Sure I am going to catch hell over this but....still don't see what all the hoopla is over this thing. What were they selling for, $100k? Seen a post on Facebook where someone posted a sticker of $130k....car made several passes and its quickest was

This is a local guys truck.

Single turbo, running on E-85. No intercooler, no meth injection. Bought the truck in pieces. Running on a very fat, safe timing tune ran a 10.93@127.55. Think he said he had about $13k wrapped up in it...complete with a 8.50 certified moly cage....

This truck is super clean. Think it was the first pass and the trans let loose. Local guy, hope to see it out there again.

Small block Chevy with one of those old B&M blowers....had a 4 speed in it...

Local guys "pit car"....lol...

This is the last years Pro champion....at 2 separate tracks. He sold the car he pulled it off with, going back to footbraking. 250k mile stock bottom end 6.0 LS, mild cam and some head work. 4L80e and a 9". Street cat, full exhaust. Will have a/c etc in it some time soon. Ran a 12.2 first pass on a very cold, slickery track.

Have not seen one of these in a long time...a Cyclone....

Was actually March 31. Have some shots from the test and tune, which was the 14th. Temp was in the high 40's-low 50's, sprinkled here and there...rained a few times as well. Have some pictures...hopefully will post them later today..
Del, how windy was it at Felts? The track was pretty breezy...was a bit chilled to the bone on the way home.

I don't have a figure, but it was cold and breezy. I was hoping to go inside the airplane but they were giving rides. By the way, there's an interesting little museum there at Felts, Military, covers local Spokane military history, pretty much all services. They have some nice displays including a Link trainer, a Norden bombsight, T-28, BD-5, several military uniform/ artifacts displays, and a Stearman

Had no idea about the museum. Will be checking it out in the near future. Thanks for the heads up....

That B-17 just flew over me a few hours ago.
Ive been in a B-17 and a B-24

Love Real Race Cars..
Me too. Looking forward to the first points race, May 11th. I may go to the Friday Night event, just to get some more "behind the camera" time.
Looking forward to the first time I see Richard Flett and his Mustang. Drives it the 40 or so miles to the track. Puts the slicks on, rows thru the 4 speed, hoisting the front end, running 10.40's. Just hope I am in the same lane as he is.
