Hey Guys

Getting ready to install new pilot bushing in my 440 crank for a 4-speed conversion and hole in the crank is .904 and dia. of bushing is .940. What is the acceptable amount of squash for the pilot bushing, what should the hole be sized too to be able to install it in the crank without wrecking it??

Thanks
Derrick

If it's an auto crank you need and undersized pilot bushing. Napa part #615-1033.

What is the shaft diamater? This bushing (Napa part #615-1033) is .751 ID and .915 OD. Most likely that will fit in a .904 hole but is this the correct size ID for the shaft of the 4sp? I am doing the same conversion but dont have the trany yet. Just doin the research.
