Hello all,

I am looking for pinion shims for my '62 Lancer Wagon with a 7.25" rear. In the middle of replacing pinion seal and resetting pinion preload. Specifically, I am looking for OD 1.450, ID 1.200, thickness .002, .004, .006, .008, or a similar combo. I purchased a set from Ratech Mfg that are correct OD/ID but the thinnest they offer is .010" and I have found I need something thinner. Anyone have suggestions of where to purchase these?

Thanks,
Stephan

THE LAST TIME I DID A 7.25 REAR WHICH WAS ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO I HAD TO MAKE SOME SHIMS OUT OF STAINLESS STEEL SHIM STOCK FOR THE PINION AND TO SHIM THE CLUTCH PACK IN THE POSI. IT WORKED GREAT BUT IT WAS SUCH A PAIN IN THE REAR. (I KNOW YOU GOT THAT) WE JUST TOOK THAT REAR OUT AND REPLACED IT WITH AN 8.75 JUST BECAUSE OF GEAR SELECTION BUT THE REAR WAS QUIET AND WORKED GREAT NEVER A PROBLEM
