piston to head clearance

i have a race prepped 360 short block and a pair of closed chamber heads what is the minimum safe clearance i can run .
 
About .035". Less has been run but it ain't advisable.
 
Zero dect the pistons if the CR will take it so the quench is the same as the gap. Mine is 0.040
