appreciate your help on this.....

Building a street\strip 408 with 60779 Eddy's. 0 deck. Forged pistons are dished, but am going for about 10.4 to 10.5 squeeze. Using head studs.

1. Recommended piston to head clearance?
2. Gasket type, MLS or copper?
3. Minimum gasket bore?

Thanks Much!

I am going with FelPro 1008 on my 414 small block with the same heads as yours. They are .039" compressed with a 4.18" bore. My pistons are also zero deck dish forged. This will give me .039" clearance which is plenty. Mine will be 10.3:1 compression and I plan to run 93 octane pump gas.

I'd use the MLS gaskets and if you're 0 decked use .040 thickness. The bore size I'm not sure of, maybe 4.10 bore. Wedgehead

I agree, I use the Felpro 1008 as well...Edelbrock heads on a 360 with zero deck, flat tops, 10.7:1, pump gas.
