Someone posted a picture the other day on some trim he had polished - did a great job.

Any body got any tips, tricks and product recommendations for bring chrome trim back to life?

technically its stainless trim not chrome. well, maybe some might even be aluminum, but windshield mouldings, upper door mouldings are usually stainless, just like the post the other day. you need a buffing wheel and compound. at times for deep scratches, i use a sander with 600, then 800, then 1000, then 1200 grit, then a good cutting compund(red oxide, grey) on the wheel, then a high luster(white emery) for a finish.

Thanks redfastback - Stainless it is - meant that - the same process would work on trim rings as well? Any particular name brands on the compounds?
