I am putting a 440 in my 1970 Duster. I am going with Schumacher headers but the driver side tubes have to be modified because of the 4 speed tranny. I am using a Lakewood bellhousing and was wondering if anyone knows if this is also going to cause a problem with the header tubes on the driver's side.

I'm planning on doing a 440 Dart with a 4-speed......I think I'm gonna fab up some type of hydraulic clutch setup....maybe with the clutch master cylinder tucked up under the dash, a la sandrail style.......I could take out the pedals assy and possibly weld up a cool mount for those nice CNC masters.

Schumacher says in there adds that they have to be modifed for use in a standard four speed and from what I understand they have Accurate exhaust products here in Roseburg Oregon do the mods for them to fit. You may want to give accurate a call and ask them if they can be made to fit the lakewood bellhousing 541-672-2661 or http://www.accurateltd.com/frontpage.htm. The owners name is Tom you may want to ask for him and see what he can tell you. Good Luck Justin

Thanks Justin. I talked to Tom today and he did not know about the bellhousing.
