powder rust hood

just wanting to know wut i should do on the underside of my hood it seems to still have rust i have used that green osphose (spelling?) and some rust came back and have used one step and rust convertor,, wen i use rust convertor the rust areas turn black like it says but then there is a orangish tint and when u wipe it with your finger it is a orangish rust color powder... is it ok to prime or is the rust not gone thanks, ryan

Sounds like you may need to have your hood dipped and repainted

Ryan, did you sand the area with say an 80 grit sandpaper before you used the converter? That stuff usually works. But miss a tiny spot and like a cancer it will come back. Let me know, it sounds like I live close to you. Be glad to look at it and give you pointers. Send me a PM. Eric
