Does anyone have a definitive answer? Wondering if I should get it towed back to my place or if I can drive it a few miles...

Yes. I will give you a definitive answer. It will be fine, you will not notice any difference. I've got a buddy who uses actual hydraulic fluid in his auto trans.. Can't remember the brand, but the color is green..
