Would anyone have the part number off a power steering gearbox for a big block Cuda? I know it was available in 69, I have a factory big block 68 and would like to install power steering on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I had thought all '62-'72 A- and B-body power steering gearboxes are interchangeable, but '69 FPC sez 2537 736 for A-bodies without 383s and B-bodies without 426s, 2537 737 for 383 A-bodies and 426 B-bodies. Donno what the difference might be. Pitman arm's also different for 383 vs. non-383, whether you have power or nonpower steering (so your present pitman arm will work). I'm sure Firm Feel or Steer & Gear could tell you what the differences are (or aren't). A search on www.car-part.com for 1969 Barracuda Steering rack/gear/box, with 8-383 engine, shows three hits.
