Was power steering available as an option on a 68 383 Cuda? If not, I would really like to add it, even if it means using a remote pump and reservoir. If anyone can help me out either with some stock part numbers or where I might locate some custom parts I would appreciate it.

If not I have seen some really small pumps on some hot rods a couple guys i know have built. I'll see it I can find out who makes them. I would think you could squeeze one of those in just about anywhere.

It was not an option on the 383 A body Barracuda
I dont think pump and resivior was the issue but instead the power steering gear itself. Sounds like a job for rackand pinion steering.

Im not sure why it wasnt an option. My guess would be either the exhaust manifold got in the way of the steering column or the box or hose hit the motor mounts or exhaust.
