Sorry to post here, but hopefully you will indulge me:

I need to replace the Pwr Steering Pump on my 1960 NYR (413 v8). I can't seem to find a direct replacement, so my question is:
"Will a PS Pump from a later 1960s-present work?"

I imagine that the main thing might be the need to modify some brackets & hose connections. Whaddya think?
thanks in advance.

Should work with nothing more than later model power steering brackets, pump, pullies, and belt. Any hydraulic shop can make hoses with your ends. The only thing I can think of bad, is a line pressure mismatch between the old box and the new pump. There are restrictors available to match pressures in a power steering system from any decent street rod supplier. Let us know what happens and good luck. Gotta love the old land yachts.

Thanks Grump. Whenever I figure out how to get photos onto this forum,
Ill post the 'old broad'.
