Going to the MOPAR Gods out there who can help me. I just finished my build on a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. It has a 360 SB, rebuilt from the ground up... everything is ready but the damn PS screams like you wouldn't imagine. I tried to re-use the PS pump that was in it before the rebuild but it WONT ALIGN! I did add a high flow aluminum Water Pump (all parts (at least I believe) are compatible with my factory AC). I am worried that my builder may have added a different timing cover? The pump in it appears to look like a federal style PS Pump. I ordered a new Federal PS pump with a new aluminum PS pulley but it is offset worse than the old one I had reinstalled. THe old one that is in my car now will not align either.. I did not have this issue beforehand. The pulley that was supposed to go on the new federal style pump looks a lot different as well (solid versus spoked style). Should I go with a Saginaw pulley and pump? Anyone know what is going on? As soon as I hit 40 MPH this thing starts to scream and if I were to put on the new federal pump and pulley I have it would be offset at least another 1/4 inch. I am stumped :(

First off, in my experience that Federal pump can barely keep up at the best of times. I ditched a couple of those before I replaced it with a Saginaw. The Saginaw has plenty of reserve, and I was actually able to give up some pressure for better "roadfeel.
- Second, there should be a second triangular bracket on the front for support. It should be up next to the waterpump. That washer/spacer at the back will need to come out to accommodate the front piece.
-If thats a slanty pump, I believe it has a different pully depth install. But get the missing bracket in there first.
Waterpumps and covers are the same as pertains to this area.

looks like a 360 timing cover, all the same-1971-199? , ask the guy if he changed covers. are the brackets bent or somehow u bolted things up wrong, pump is way off
