POWERfest 2025, happening June 13–14 at North Carolina’s legendary Rockingham Dragway, is bringing serious heat to the track—and the cameras. This high-octane event not only marks the return of the iconic drag racing TV series PINKS but introduces a full lineup of original automotive programming, filmed live for the all-new free streaming network, POWERtube TV.

The revival, titled PINKS 2.0, cranks up the intensity with a brand-new format. Gone are the old one-on-one pink slip races—instead, racers will battle in a “King of the Hill” structure, with one driver fighting to walk away with up to eight vehicles from the competitors they eliminate. Taking over hosting duties is NHRA driver and nationally recognized motorsports broadcaster Bruno Massel, bringing both track cred and screen presence.

The weekend also introduces the PINKS Border Budget Build-Off, presented by Powertrain Products Inc., where viral racing personalities Justin Nunley (Team USA) and Shaun Umscheid (Team Canada) go head-to-head. Each team builds a car under a strict budget and races it live at POWERfest under PINKS rules. The kicker? The losing team gives their car away to a lucky fan in the stands.

Also filming at the event is The Call Out: Small Tire Shootout, an invite-only battle where online trash talk gets settled on the strip. Known for its tagline “keyboard to concrete,” this series turns digital rivalries into real-world race-night drama. Brent Albury of Nitrous Express joins the action as guest host, adding serious experience and edge to the broadcast.

Adding to the weekend’s appeal is the return of the legendary NOPI Car Show Series. Once a staple of the national car show circuit, NOPI is making a major comeback with an inclusive event that welcomes muscle cars, hot rods, lifted trucks, exotics, tuners, and show bikes. This isn’t just a comeback—it’s a reinvention for a new generation of gearheads.

Other attractions include Nostalgia Gassers, Mega Truck exhibitions, and even Kids Power Wheels drag racing, making POWERfest a family-friendly weekend packed with horsepower, history, and high-stakes action.

All content filmed at POWERfest will stream on POWERtube TV, a 100% free automotive platform available on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, iOS, Android, and online at PTTVLINKS.com.

Not really interested in the all the gum-flapping that was PINKS....bring back PassTime.
(Although I would like to see the host wipe-out on the street bike again.)

I have to smfh when I read complaints about closing down racetracks for various reasons and then you have an event like this to promote a form of racing and malcontents show up flapping gums wanting to see a person get injured on a motorcycle.
