When she went to the hospital a little over a week ago they did a cat scan and said the pain was due to a bladder infection. She was at the ER for two days in a row because of the pain. The third time she called her specialist and he said let's do a colonoscopy. That is when they found the growth. So, it when from a bladder infection to cancer. I am so glad her doctor takes care of her. My step-dad is really good to my mom and takes such good care of her. Without him I don't know where my mom would be.
 
Prayers for the removal of this growth and full recovery for your Mom!

It's a good thing her husband is so good to her, it makes her life much better.

Let us know how it goes on Monday!!!!

Well, I guess my mom didn't tell me the whole story. My sister who is a nurse said that they did find cancer on her colon and pre-cancer cells as well. When they operate on her Monday they are going to send them off to determine what type of treatment she will need.

My mom came out of the surgery but they couldn't remove a portion of it. Due to the location of the growth it could have caused more issues if they removed it. Will not know anymore until Wedesday. I am concerned about the growth they couldn't remove. Will just have to wait and see.
 
Glad to hear she's out of surgery. More prayers sent, strength sent for your family, hope you're doing ok.
 
Prayers being sent this morning Betty, I would think that they could not remove it because of the location and the blood flow around it, They do not want to expose the rest of her body "by blood flow being so close to the area" and contaminate the body.
Sounds like she has some good dr's looking over her and I see from your last post that she has a good partner in life Betty, stay strong, my prayers will be staying with your mom and dr,s and for you and the family and friends she has in her life.
 
Did not receive the news we were hoping for. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and due to location it can't be removed. She goes Friday to talk about chemo and radiation. Thank you for all your prayers and please continue to keep her in your prayers.

I haven't went to see her yet. I was going this weekend but now she has to go too the doctor on Friday. They are not sure what treatment they are going to start so I am not sure if this is the best time to go. I call her everyday and sometimes more than that. Yesterday I called about three or four times. She doesn't care though we are very close. :heart::heart::heart:
