Any ideas on preoiling a Slant? Can’t spin the pump shaft like a v8. It’s been sitting a year.

Remove the oil pressure sensor, install a (same thread) fitting you can adapt a hose to. Using a pressure pot (garden sprayer) or a squeezable bottle of the sorts filled with your favorite oil, connect the hose to the pressure pot or squeeze bottle and let-er-rip. I'm sure there will be other recommendations, but I've been using a pressure pot method for a long time with good results.

Remove all six sparkplugs so the engine spins easily. Using an oil can put a couple pumps of light oil in each cylinder if desired.
Assuming you have a reliable oil pressure light or gauge. Crank the motor for about 10 seconds at a time till you see good news on the gauge or the light blink off. If the motor was good a year ago it will be just as good now.
