Hey guys so quick rundown I’m building a bracket race car and I’m going to run it in primer until I paint it so I was wondering what primer could I use that doesn’t attract moisture and /or make the car rust. Thanks!!

Primer that's been painted over. Seriously, I don't think any of it won't pick up some moisture along the way. That's why experts say if primer sits any length of time, to sand it again before paint.

I did some research on this topic and all primers, even catalyzed epoxy primers will absorb moisture. A vehicle that is left in primer for any amount of time will draw moisture, dirt, grime, oil from our fingers and then you have rust.

Primer is a base for paint. Hence it's ability to absorb wet paint. Go buy yourself a case of white or flat black spray paint and give it a nice coating. The flat blends in well and then when you're actually ready to paint the car you can sand it off. The primer by it's self isn't going to work out to well.
