Bought seats from Pro Car for my 69 Barracuda but had to purchase the universal bracket as they haven't made the bracket that fits in a long time. Question is, how high off the floor (clearance) should I fabricate the adapter to? There is a lot of additional material on the support legs that can be trimmed off after welding them to the frame so height is adjustable. I have the original sliders so could I measure and use that dimension?

I bolted my pro car seat to the original bucket seat brackets. You have to drill a hole in the seat or bracket. Cant remember. But it makes the seat high, which I personally prefer anyways. I'm 5' 8".

Here’s a photo of the ProCar seat adaptors for the Dodge Dart that I used in my car, from memory I mounted these on the middle mount of the seats and trimmed off the lower section in the process. Seat height and headroom for me (6ft 1in) is good. Hope this helps a little!
