I was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their products? I have approx 2 hours running time on a water pump i got from them and the thing leaks like a siv....but they wont return it claiming its a "performance part". :wack: This needless to say ticks me off. So basically I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with using Mopar Performance parts or any problem with returning parts to them. Thanks in advance!

Never had a problem yet...I would fight to have it replaced reguardless. I take it you just want an exchange? I've only heard in the pasted that anything that's "electronic" (if package opened) or something thats special ordered and manufactured just for you couldn't be or could end up being a hassle. Did your part have any warrenty at all or any mention of life cycle. Just because "I" never had a problem does not mean "perhaps" your part was made on a Friday. Again...I've never heard of Mopar stating that (Mopar Performance) means "no" returns.....Raise ****...Mopar love's our money! :salut:

OK...I've read their warrenty and your right. :wack: ...Still, after only 2 hours use, I would ***** to blow off steam at least for a exchange until they were ready to call the cops. I can't see how they would think you "blow up a pump.

I bought a new orange ECU that was crap out the box! No problem with a return for the same thing. You may check that pump and see if it leaks at the shaft or the housing. I got one where the housing was not ground flat. Mopar should give you one in exchange for it though. I`d go back with your receipt (of course) and get more demanding.

If you bought it a Chyrsler dealer I'd go back and ask to talk to the parts manager or dealership manager and explain the situation. If that don't work get their e-mail address and post it on the site and maybe the guys here can send a few nasty notes which could help. They should certainly replace the pump. :evil2:

just about everything from MP i have doesnt work right, or fit right. Atleast they know how to make a air cleaner, haven't hada issue with that...suprisingly...

Where did you buy it from? Summit and Jegs have always taken back faulty parts from me. Recently, I bought some tall, cast aluminum, Edelbrock valve covers that were cracked straight through the sealing surface, covered with polishing goo and full of casting defects. :cwm10: Inside, they were stamped "Made In Taiwan". I don't care if a company outsources their manufacturing as long as they maintain quality control here in the US. Anyway, (sorry about the rant!) Summit took them back on a exchange for some tall, red anodized, stamped aluminum valve covers. Still on back order though. Just my .02 worth.

I bought them through a Dodge store that ordered them for me. I work for a Mercedes Dealer and the people who own us own like 25 stores so I just used one of them. And the parts people there will not return it and neither will MP. I will get the part # as soon as I get home and can get it. I believe i will be raising some hell over this and I appreciate the responses back!
