started to fit the dougs ,my fingers hurt ..no hammer yet,,had a bit of a clearance issue with the block ,as its a late one and has bosses for different fittings in the middle of the casting and clashes with the steering box ,if I had a manual box it would not be an issue ,I have not got the gearbox on yet ,so don't know where it will sit ,ive ground a fair bit off and seems to clear,i will know later on today .im sure I can space things out once the headers are located

box now in and driver side header is up and fits nice ,worst bit was getting the slip joints apart ,looks like I can use the standard starter too ,got better clearance around that than I had with the stock exhaust ,yep get yourself over and bring as much beer as you like .speaking of beer ,im off to the pub

headers all in place now ,and was not to bad a job ,the next step is to do something with the brake lines ,I have 73 up discs and a 2 bolt dual cylinder, also have the brake block ,but I don't know what to do with it ,I did think of mounting it sideways under the battery tray ,but this will be a pain to do with having to run the lines here there and everywhere, what if I run a brass T for the fronts and a valve on the rear line ,or do the fronts need some sort of valve too,any advice gratefully received

O S.....you did not run the brake lines when motor was out. It can be done but, it is not easy. T-block on firewall under master and adjustable valve on line to rear. Or Wilwood has a really cute setup where all lines go to valve and bolts on bracket. Picture.
