PRW magnum valve covers?

Any one try these PRW 4036007 magnum valve covers.
They look nice but I’m not sure what the notches on each end are for. Why not just make them symmetrical?

The trucks these engines came in from the factory used plastic spark plug wire reatainer/separators at the rear of the valve covers, pushed onto the mounting bolt studs in the location of those notches.
