PST adjustable strut rods

Hey guys, rebuilding the front end on my 69 Dart Conv..
Bought PST adj strut rods.
Should the bolt through the heim joint be horizontal or perpendicular to the ground?

I have Hotchkis strut rods. It wouldn't matter how the bolt sits so long as there is no binding through the complete range of travel of the LCA. This would be observed without the torsion bar installed.

the bolt / hiem joint will be at the angle it want's to be at when you can rotate the control arm through it's range of travel without it binding

QA1 are the same design and they just want you to make sure you can move the lca through its range of motion without any binding.
