PT Cruiser Flat Towing: Does Odometer count mileage?

When flat towing a PT cruiser, does the odometer count the miles?
I'm looking at a 2004 PT that was flat towed and they are claiming some of the miles are from towing. I'm just not sure if these electronic odometers count or not.

Only if ignition was on. The mileage is stored digitally. Running in neutral was how it would have been flat towed.

Is that even good for a PT to be flat towed? Transaxles axles would still be spinning with no fluid being circulated by the input pump.
