Well I went back and gave him a deposit and have a receipt. Picking it up next week as we are both going away this weekend. He said it has a 350 Pontiac motor and a High 1st gear 4 speed in it. I didn't even open the hood lol. It's like a christmas present waiting to be opened once it's home.

That must be one of them”big block” Pontiac’s!! If it is a factory engine it’s smaller than a 350 but hard to tell just looking. They are great engines
 
I believe it was 63 when Pontiac used the starter bolted to the block. Before that it bolted into the bellhousing. That is a common joke with Pontiac people-the big block Pontiac, even their trophy four engines used the same head.
