Hey guys I was driving my duster & decided to turn the heat on but went to far with the switch and tuned on the defrost then switched back real fast to heat and the air conditioning compressor started making a noise, and also stared smoking so before I got to pull over I tried to turn the heat off the compressor never tuned off and kept on spinning and broke the belt. I have had some problems finding out how to get 1 of the belts on my alternator-bottom pulley. It seems that I cant just slip it into place like the fan-power steering belt and I cant seem to find a way around everything without taking the fan off along with the pulley its with any suggestions on how to get it on without having to take everything apart? I want to bypass the air conditioning since its wanting to lock up. The fan pulley its so close to the bottom I cant just push it through.
