Ok getting ready to put the new M/C in the car. The new mc did not come with the retainer for the push rod. Where can I find one? Or would useing the old one work? Or is there something else that can/will work for the retainer?

the old one will work if the rubber isn't really hard and its not torn up from removing the pushrod.

when i did my disk brake swap i found my rubber retainer too torn up to use. could not find a replacement anywhere... started looking at the part and realized it was nothing more than a chunk of rubber hose. i used fuel line for mine. sorry i don't remember the dimensions offhand.

I don't know what type/size master cylinder you have but I got one in which the hole on the MC was to big. I had to get another MC. Then later I got the newer type aluminum MC in which the brakes seem to work better with it. I had to order a adaptor plate to use with it. Here is the problem I was having.
