I would like too find out mope about this. I saw Dulcich do it and wondered if there are templates or something.

If you do t use an offset rocker you can’t do it.

It’s simple really. Press a piece of solid cast iron in the pushrod tunnel. Epoxy it in.

Put the head in a mill and offset the pushrod tunnel to whatever offset you use.

I can’t say for sure but IIRC T/A offset is .550 and W2 offset is .825 or close to it.

Verify the offset through a better source.

When I did my procomp heads, the angle of the new holes was just under 6 degrees. I used W2 rockers . If you use a less offset rocker the angle will be different. Pretty simple math to find the angle. I had a bunch of pictures, but lost them when my old laptop crashed.

Here you can see the angle on the pushrods.

A short video that covers some of the mods. Ports were roughed in here, I did a lot of work after the video.

Very interesting. I wonder if you did not go too crazy with the port width if you could use a RPM airgap? Also is there any reason you have to cut the rocker pads down? Didn't they make W2's with traditional pads as an "econo" casting? Did those use different rockers?

You shouldn't go as wide as I did with an air gap. You'd have to measure the outside width of the air gaps runners. That is why I used a W2 Strip Dominator. You can still gain a lot of port volume just by removing the pinch.

Yes, the econo heads had cast in rocker stands, but they were moved back away from the valve. I had the shafts and blocks with my rocker setup, so that is why I milled the stands down. I cannot remember what Dulcich did for rockers. Crane aluminum W2 rockers maybe.
