Hi, hope everyone is doing great, I am replacing the quarter glasses on my 76 duster project, it has the push out glass, there is a piece of plastic/felt lined that goes in the post before you put the glass in that I think is called a pivot guide, does any one know what I am talking about and if you can get this, thanks, Edward
 
When I replaced mine (9 years ago) I was able to find a pair of NOS pieces (at NOS prices). They're made of unobtainium.

Reports, however, are that you can now use reproduction pieces intended for B-Bodies by trimming them to size. Here's an example:

The original factory pieces had left and right part numbers. These don't so I don't know exactly what the difference is, if any.
 
Restoration Specialties (who I highly recommend) also sells the repro pieces.

It appears from the description that R/T's is 'price each - two required' while Restoration Specialties is for a pair (at less than half the price???)- so you may want to talk to them before purchasing either.

The illustration looks very little like the actual piece...

A short, fat pop rivet on each side can replace the single factory rivet removed.

Wow I'm getting ready to do this as well. I can't believe how many seals, gaskets and such are needed to restore these quarter windows. I found a seal kit at DMT that has the seal/gasket for the body/window. I also found the seal for between the quarter glass and door glass.

Thanks for the lead to R/T Specialties as I was also looking for this felt. I've been searching for the quarter window seal. Everyone I call says they are back ordered.

Have you been able to find this longer seal?
