Quarter window vertical seal

Can someone help me with my dilemma? I got new quarter window seals from classic industries for my 68 notchback. When I tried to install them the way the old ones came off the angle is wrong, it slopes down instead of up to match the roof rail. I assume the felt side goes out because thats how the old ones were, and the only way it fits in the metal channel. I ordered another set from first place auto because the photo on their website was with the correct angle. But when I got them they were cut the other way too. What am I doing wrong?

Are these "cat whiskers"? Or vertical seals on window itself?

It is the vertical seal they go in a metal chanel on the front of the quarter window

The seal goes in the chanel on the front of the window as shown. One picture shows the rubber side that fits in the chanel with the wide side towards the rear. It is the only way they will go into place and how the old ones which I believe were original were. But installed that way the angel slopes down instead of up to match the roof rail. See the picture of the old one beside the new from my first post, the angels are cut opposite.
