this might make many of you more tech savvy guys LOL but here goes...

what happens if i put skinny drag fronts on my dart, (15X 3.5", 1.5" offset) which currently has SSBC front disc brakes, which I know are bigger than this offset?

thanks alot for any help.

Just about any disk brake set up will hang out the back of that wheel. Should work OK if it is a drag car but I wouldn't run that on the street…

Some do run wheels like that on the street though… I have a friend that did it on his 502 Chevelle…

He had the wonderful combination of poor cornering and poor braking.

If you tried this on the street, you would leave 2 thin black skid marks on the pavement every time you tried to stop quick. (Cops like this, it make accident investigation easier).

You might need spacers if the calipers actually stick out farther than the wheel flange on the rotor. In any event, looking at the car straight on, you would see caliper and possibly rotor inboard of the tire.

Does SSBC specify an minimum wheel offset?

If your wondering about the caliper hitting the wheel I don't think there will be a problem. I would be really suprised if your caliper sticks out much beyond the wheel mounting surface of the hub.

The skinner 3.5 wheels use tires that are about the same width of the 13" tires that came on a lots of the early a bodies. I don't see problems running them on the street unless your running them on a road runner or E body car
