question about moser 8.75 axles...

Hey All:

Long story short, is there something I'm supposed to remove from the stock center section when installing Moser 8.75 axles?

I guess there's something in there that puts preload on the bearings that the Mosers don't need?

Will the new axles actually fit in the housing with that installed and its really bad to have it in there, or will they just not go in at all?

Need to pull the button out of the sure grip if your axles are 28" A Body Length.

Been there and done that. You have to remove the thrust button or the axles will not fit.. I didn't want to do that as I had just rebuilt the rear so I opted to take about a 1/4 inch off of one axle. I called Moser and they told me how much to take off the axle. I think it was a 1/4 inch, I am just not sure.
