Hey all, I have a favor to ask of you.
I just started a new job in a new industry that I am unfamiliar with and could sure use your help. I'm now working for a small company that markets training books and manuals to firefighters. From the little bit of research I've done on my first week on the job, it appears most of the prior sales have been to individuals (who might possibly be using either a personal or a Fire Dept. credit card for payment) rather than orders to individual Fire Depts or to training schools or academies.
My questions are:
(1) What is the most common form of firefighter training? Academy, Department, school, or ???
(2) Where and how did you purchase your training - original or continuing - books and manuals?
(3) Is there a Training Officer, or someone in charge of training, in each Department? What is their title and what is the best way to reach them?
(4) Any other information you can throw my way is greatly appreciated.
