I am currently assembling a piece of equipment to export to Moscow.
My question is what kind of heavy duty 220 volt plug is used in Russia that is capable of handling 30 amps.

Russia uses the Schuko style plug that is rated for 16 Amps. I believe once you go above that it has to be permently connected.

That is what I have been finding out on this. Surley they have some type of larger plug for like a portable welder.

Back when I worked for Motorola I did international product approvals and Russia was a primary market. I don't recal ever seeing anything other than the Shuko style plug. The may use something like our NEMA twist lock plugs but it not standardized. I would contact the person you are sending the equipment to.
