Question of the day why did you pick Mopar and why in a body

-
Haven't had a Mopar in 30+ years. And I have been told it will go REALLY fast!

Plus it was kinda cheap! Traded a Springfield 5" 1911 loaded for it from my brother.

I've always loved examples like this. It basically says, "Badass"

My grandfather and my father worked for at the Chrysler plant in Newark, DE. If the mid 2000's had been kind to the Durango i would probably be working there right now too. Both sides of the family have been stuck with Dodges for as long as i can remember.

Have had several Mopars, in the past. -- This time, it was a nice one, at the right price. - Actually it has been 2 (A-Bodies) of them.

I always had a "thing" for MOPARS. A friend of mine in high school ad a Super Bird, what a cool car!!
Recently a friend of mine had a 67 Barracuda convertible. I really liked the car and the look.
I hadn't had a classic in 20 years, work, kids, took all my time and money.
Kids were gone, retired, wife said find your car.
I was lucky and stumbled across a 67 Barracuda convertible and bought it.
We have enjoyed it, and the friends we have made.
Wow that is my story as well, even got the 67 cuda recently too. Fastback though.

No body in my neighbor hood back in the 70's had a Mopar just me and my cousin. He had a 70 cuda 440 6 pack auto and I had a 68 dart swinger 340 4 speed. They would race the cuda with there chevy or ford and get beat and figured they could beat the little 340 and they still lost.
They would call our cars head hangers. I guess I never thought about it back then but I guess I should hang my head down and apologize for beating them.
Everyone has a 350 chevy in there car it seems and please don't get me wrong I like a chevy or ford, but when you can go to Wal Mart and buy every part you need for a chevy without waiting for them to order it means everyone has one. And like sheep following each other over a cliff I choose to be different.

My maternal grandfather was a Mopar guy. My mom's younger brother bought a brand new 1968 Dodge Coronet 440 (black on black) when I was 7. My stepfather was a Chevy guy and by the time he came into my life (I was around 9 years old) I was already indoctrinated into the Mopar lifestyle.

I've always liked the little boxy cars, so the Dart (Swinger body) was my 1st choice. When I found my Dart GT it had everything I was hoping to find (V-8, buckets, console, 8 3/4" rear-end). I didn't know a GT existed for 1971 and I'm glad I bought the car.
