questions about 1960's dart

I have a 1966 dart gt and am putting my rebuilt 318 in it . my question is, when I am looking for some parts is a 1967 dart abody the same as a 1966 or for that matter will a 1974 k frame fit in my 1966. Is the a body the same from 1966 to 1981 or you tell me .
I have no help and doing it myself.

A-bodies are pretty much divided up into a few generations

1960 -1962
1963 - 1966
1967- 1972
1973 - 1976

Small parts around the interior will go from the 67 to the 66 but not much.

A K-frame from the 74 will not fit a 66

People like to generalize 67- 76 as one generation, yet if you park a 72 next to a 73 ......there is not much that will correctly interchange but most will interchange bolt up wise.

For your 66, you would be better off locating parts that fall in the 63-66 generation....which is considered "early A"

Early a bodies use the same k frame for /6 or V8 anyways just need a V8 center link.
