Quick and cheap wheel refinishing job

these are the 70s ET turbine wheels a guy gave me the other day, I put them in the parts washer at work then painted the crusty middle.

I've got chrome lug nuts and center caps for them, but I don't think they're going on my Duster. Not bad for free though.

Shoot I'd run those like that, as I like that black in the center and polished circle around it.
Put em on a couple at a time and use 0000 steel wool with the engine spinning them and man they look sharp I think.
The aluminum gets that spun polished look to it and looks real nice.
That is probably exactly what I would have done to them if I had come up with them.
Probably in satin though.
 
I considered satin, but gloss was free and on hand. I had no expectations, they ended up looking pretty nice. I gotta get new tires before I can mount them, so probably not till spring.

Here's one sitting on a rock, for effect. I think the chrome center caps and lug nuts will make them look even better.
