quick question on the trunk seal.

I picked up the metro soft seal weather strip for the trunk and just want to verify how to install it.

I believe the it goes on with the groove or slot to the outside of the car and on top of the lip right on the edge of my trunk, and not in the channel.

This is on a 71 scamp. Can you guys please verify this is the correct way.

Thanks, thats what i was thinking just wanted to make sure.

Can you tell me what direction the weatherstrip goes? I'm assuming the right angle side of it goes towards the inside of the trunk and the side with the groove, notch or whatever you call it goes to the outside.

I just want to make sure I get it on correctly.
