I have a quick question regarding the power brake booster on my '74 Duster with mild 318. Does anyone what kind of vacuum it should be putting out at idel and under load? I was with a few mopar friends this evening checking out my brakes. The fronts don't seem to hold as well as they should. Sometimes I have a stiff pedal and loose my power assist while coming to a stop. Not a huge deal but can be annoying when making a panic stop. The check valve is fine. I took the vacuum cap off and used a vacuum gauge to see where it idled at. In gear while ideling it's around 17psi with the rpms around 2,000 or so it's down to around 5-6psi. I was thinking about bolting on a vacuum canister someplace under hood. Would be a very easy and cheap fix.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
