Quick... which way's better (225/273)

my first Mopar project was a 67 Valiant that I pulled out the six and built a mild 440 for. With probably 400 hp and a **** load of torque, a very fun car back in 83.

As we age, sometimes our interests go in other directions. Sometimes not.
I just measure my fun today by smiles per mile and happy per $ spent! I still find smiles easier to come by than $s!
My problem is I have always had 2 or more old (usually) Mopars at any given time, but times have changed. Good projects too hard to find, too many $s, boneyards dried up, all parts too high! and too old and woreout!~

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. And it's leaking !!

I raced this Slant (NA) for years.Did several Slant cars. Why ? Cause I wanted to.
Not cheap to go 12's.Gears make 'um go. As I stated if budget allows go for it.
I did suggest doing the 273.My avatar photo is a 68 Valiant 273 from a few years ago.Ran good on the cheap.
Never know till you try 'um all,Slants to Hemi's.

I agree, it is a simple formula. four barrel carb, intake, cam, springs, ignition, and exhaust. Tune, tune, and tune some more. It does not take much to make a HP MOPAR mill, any size. They were designed heavy enough so they won't scatter.
