Anyone scrap their original brass/copper radiators?
Almost too expensive to ship across the country as a core unit, so thinking of just scrapping it for its weight in value.
thanks all

Where do you live that you have to ship it across country for a core? You don't have any radiator shops in your area?

Unless you're doing a resto, toss it in favor of a real radiator, made out of aluminum.

If you do scrap it, remove the brackets and the drain plug so they give you top dollar. Brass and copper WAS going for $4.00 per pound not too long ago. The pay signicantly less if there is any steel or plastic in there to remove.

If you seperate the tanks from the core you'll get the best money, tanks are brass and the core is copper.
