IIRC Abita brewery is close to New Orleans.

They survived hurricane Katrina, where "Dixie" (makers of "Voodoo" and "Blackened Voodoo") did not.

My favorite Abita offering is "Turbo Dog".

I did recently purchase some Voodoo, as the name was apparently bought by another brewery.....but it's not quite the same.

My wife and I went to NOLA for our belated honeymoon in 2007.
They were still reeling and cleaning up 3 years later.
I got to drink some of the last true Dixie brewery products ever produced.

i make it a point not to buy anything that has "turbo" in the name and no actual turbo installed

just a pet peeve of me
 
Ever own a "laser jet" printer?

i remember way way back in the olden days before i was as straightlaced as i am now i liked to smoke pot from time to time

i was studying in Eindhoven, one of the big cities in the Netherlands
me and a few classmates had skipped class and were hanging out at the Stratums end (back then, that was the place to be)

anyway, we were just hanging out, i might have had a few beers at Aldstadt, who knows, and we decided to roll a joint

so i rolled me a real nice big one and wouldnt you know it...nobody had a light

so im kinda scanning the crowd and i spot a police officer coming our way

hey, i thought, what better way to protect and serve, then to light my joint for me?
i walk over to him, joint in my mouth, grin on my face and i asked him for a light

he looked me over and said "you're not gonna cause me any trouble are you?"

i said of course not

he reached into his pocket, produced a lighter and lit my joint for me
i went back to my class mates and we enjoyed the rest of our afternoon
