Impressive! Things like this make me long for being in the field again, as I love seeing the results of skilled workers such as this.

Thanks!

yeah, stuff like that makes me happy.. if i tried to do that.. my god.. they would all be hitting each other and ****

I'm what is referred to as a "Service Fitter", meaning my job was to fix stuff when it breaks (or at least I used to before I started pushing out quotes), and I never did enough Installs to get those sorts of skills. But I can still stop and appreciate them.

In Minne-a-no-place there's a central steam plant that services a lot (most?) of the downtown buildings with steam, and the piping in there is not only HUGE, but pretty damn impressive! Wish I had pictures to share.

Reminded me of my time at the Shuttle Launch Complex  . Miles of perfectly formed conduits and then I cover them in concrete .
Neighbor's kid became an Engineer for Wirsbo/Uponor (the in-ground heating company), and he said it's a shame they have to cover-up some of the work he's seen.....while in other instances it's probably a Good Thing!

OCD at it's best. but doesn't each 90 degree fitting equal 10' of straight pipe? 45's would be better :)
Been a while (a LONG while!) since I did any pressure drop calcs, but as long as this was designed and laid-out by the ME, should be good to go. Plus, since 99% of jobs are sold based solely on Low Bib/First Cost, anyone who Bid the job based on a lower pressure drop in the system (twice the fittings= twice the cost) probably had their Bid tossed-out during the first round.

Side pipes on a Corvette looked ok to me but not on a Cuda so much. A local guy had a 1st get Camaro back in the 70's with what looked to be 3" exhaust pipe that was painted black and that looked ok too.
yeah, i'm not a sidepipe guy at all.. or exhaust that goes out each side like guys do on trucks or i think T/A cudas had? it just sounds weird

I'm not a big fan either but did the side exits twice. Cheap way out. Both cars were 1st gen Mustang Fastbacks. One had quiet high flow mufflers that sounded pretty good and the other had Smithy's on it. Those were pretty loud at full throttle lol.

Those were fun with a potent small block! A buddy had one and it surprised me at the acceleration it had! P/W ratio is kick ***....

a nice 400 smallblock makes them boogie...

I had a monza with a 400 in it.. thing was nuts. BUT they have solid rotor front brakes and they are like waiting to kill you all the time.

I don't recall what my '71 Vega had for brakes, but I do recall it didn't stop worth a damn. And with the Lincoln Locker out back, it didn't go around corners all that well....

So......yeah! I guess mine was trying to kill me all the time as well!

But I was 18, and indestructible.

yup.. they are like 9" solid rotor with a 1.5" caliper or some ****.. they are fine for a 4cyl that smokes like a freight train

I had one too.. The 262 burnt up a cam so I just swapped it with a 350. Car was fast but it didn't have the brakes to slow the thing down... I got rid of it.
