I have a pair of super rare "L" code 360 245hp air cleaners i have been holding onto. They made very few of these (6000+)compared to tens of thousands of 340s.1974 is finally getting some respect and i am thinking about bringing them to market. They made to versions, both single snorkels,a long version(b-bodies)and a short version(A and E bodies),i have one of each.not sure if i want to restore(bead blast, primer, paint, and re-sticker),or sell as is,they are in great shape.Do we have any 74 guys here and any interest.I can get pics if so...Here are the 2 versions, but not my actual pieces.

with the exception of the colour of the air cleaner , I believe that all '74 - '76 360 air cleaners are the same . '72 and '73 are the same ; however , the OSAC valve was moved to the air cleaner for 1974 .

not trying to break your chops or anything of the sort ; just making an observation .

72 had trap door...73 did not. ](*,)

actually, they made two types, long and short with the oval snorkel.just the length of the snorkel is different depending on body style.check out this air cleaner reference and you will see.www.nicksgarage.com. they used the longer snorkel on cop cars for some reason, but A and E had the shorter one.as for the 73,did they even make a 360 hi-po v-code?either way,i have both types and they are factory,so i know they made them.one is off a cop car,the other is off a challenger.anything hi-po in 73 was 340 which as we know has a square snorkel end.Let me know if interested.as for 75 and 76,they only made the long snorkel.

Look at pics...2 types....?

I stand corrected , and I apologise for my assertion(s) . I was pretty damned tired when I posted my reply ( it was 19:36 , PST , and I was awake since 03:00 ! ) , and I ostensibly neglected to study the links / pics .

Never-the-less ...
Cool find !

Those are real interestin. Makes you realize Chrysler was still committed to performance long after they were strangled with new tougher gubmint regulations.

LH,

We have all been there.
