Are all mopar axles offset by the same amount? I just did a Dana 60 for my 71 Dart. It is the factory width, and I got Dr. Diff axles with the 1 3/16 " offset. I followed his chart. Everything looks good but I am a little confused on the offset deal. I know that the offset centers the pinion yoke in the tunnel, but the 7 1/4 and 8 3/4 axle shafts are of equal length. My Dana has 1 short and 1 longer axle. Is this because of the gear housing of the Dana? Can some one please help me understand. TIA
