I've searched the site and the usual convertible top sites, having a hard time finding the rear bow tension cables? Any one know who might replicate these?
Thanks.
Jim

if you call convertible top specialists in Inverness Florida(contact info on the web).they may be able to help you. I'm trying to get back to him with the dimensions of the other wires(soon as I find them again!) that go into the top and hold the sides down correctly. seems like everybody wants to use gm style parts and they are a shade too long.

I'm getting closer to putting the last machine together for my plastic parts! CNC's done (hey it's home made but does exactly what I tell it to do,right, wrong or "OH DAMN where's the E stop!" )
I'm cutting the passengers side kick panel mold for the vacuform as I type. I love working this hard!:D since the machines doing all the work.

Hey Kurt. Hope all is well. I did get new hoses for the pump and had the motor gone through. I think I got them from the convertible top guys??? But, everything looked good. I also got a new pair of cables for the top, they look universal, they have a crimp style clamp on the end so I guess you can do as you please with them. I went to paint boy today, my friend has a 70 Coronet getting painted and I was promised I was next in line, when I show up, there's a 70 Charger in the bay!! I went through the roof. Guess it's time to find a new painter. Other than that, getting things done a little at a time.
Thanks for the info, as always.

yeah I know about the "paint" guys. there are a lot of em out there that act like your is junk, but they want top dollar to do it. THEN they move everyone in front of ya if you even give them any down payment. (made me learn how to paint. I'm not pro but Good to me since it wasn't metallic, the silver one I have to do next is gonna SUCK!)

there's 2 different convertible top businesses that I know of , one is up north(near the cold frozen place from which I moved, So I could walk or move again) and one is here in Florida. my "across the next street" neighbor(does high end auto leather interior restorations) has had dealings with the guys from Inverness florida and had some Lincoln convertible top stuff made by them and the product was pretty darn close to the original.
that's what I'm shooting for original style wires. I'll see if mine(rear bow tension wires are any good and see if he can do those for me too!

I'm trying to find my original top wires so he can get them made for me, so far no such luck in finding them in my garage. of course it could be because I'm in the middle of insulating the darn thing and everything is "piled/stuffed/crammed/tossed" in the middle of the garage waiting on me to get it done.
Lets see about 4 different things going on at the same time. Yup that's me$#@$:D
