Rear bumper

I e-mailed AMD about this and they said the earlier ones would fit but only with the brackets for that year. Can anyone here confirm that? These bumpers seem very nice for the money.

Does your car have the shock mounted bumpers?
UGH, I remember having a very similar conversation with another board member and we came up with something like this

70-72 front is the same
73-74 front is the same
74-76 front share the same shape but not the mounting holes (75-76 use shocks for mounts)

70-73 rear is the same shape ( not sure on mounting holes)
74-76 rear is the same shape

I would GUESS that the 73 and below rear would fit a 74-76 as the body shape is the same but the bracketry is assuredly different

But I could be wrong :lol:
 
I have a 73 Duster, with 72 bumpers sort of on it. The 73 brackets do not work, have been trying ( not too hard) to find 72 brackets. The local 'expert' assures me this is the way to go. hope this helps.
 
74 has a shock mount rear and a solid mount front. Some 74's also had a shock mount front. Mine did but I moved them in.
 
Alright what I'm reading is if I buy rear bumper brackets for a 72, I can install a 72 rear bumper on my 74 Duster? Is this correct? Morty
