anyone experience panel rattle on the decklids of there duster/demon a-bodys? when you bang on the lid gently or close the trunk it sounds loose inside as if the inner and outer panels are ratteling together? is some bonding dried out or something? any remedies? sounds awfull...

spray a little expandable foam in a small hole near the rattle. only use what you need to stop the rattle. It does what it is suppose to expand. and could push the outer panel if it can't spread out.Yes they do rattle if the bonding dried up and fell out. The chunks of bond should be rattling in the trunk also . Unless you havd a 70 71 lid with spoiler cut outs it would be tough to get in there to fix this.

thanks and i do have the cutouts so access is not a problem. im a little leary about the expansion warping a panel however. not a lot of room to see in there but its about the only option. any body shop type stuff you know of??

They make a urathane joint adheasive That all should be putting on their fender before installing for added strength to the unibody as is was from the factory . Check your local body supply. I aready used the expansion foam and no problem . the reason I mention the pushing of the panel is , I already told another person to do this and he emptied the whole can in there. There was foam comming out everywhere. I don't think you could have dented it with a sledge hammer. He didn't have spoiler openings so there was nowhere it could releive all the pressure from all that he sprayed in.
