rear edn question

I am not doing the rear end yet..but do have a question. For christmas, was going to ask for wheels and tires. Now if I do get wheels, when the rear end is changed, will that effect bolt pattern?

Standard answer...it depends. What rear end you are taking out and what rear you are putting in?
