rear end question

Count the bolts in the rear cover. No bolts, 8.75". Ten bolts, 8¼". Nine bolts 7¼".

What I see in the photo is a 7¼" rear.

A lot of times, there will be a small tag held in by one of the bolts. The tag will have the gear ratio stamped into it. e.g. 2.76, 2.93, 3.23. To find the ratio without the tag or taking anything apart, jack the rear end up, mark the drive shaft and a tire, and use the method shown in the youtube clip. I'd be surprised if the result was not one of the ratios listed in the example.
